Well, my educational journey has come to a conclusion, and I am the proud holder of my MBA- Global Hospitality Business Development, having spent the last 11 weeks here at IMI-Luzern on a journey that started back in September when I attended Seneca College, Toronto to take the first 2 of 3 total semesters on my way to achieving this degree.
I never imagined this could have been possible, but I am living proof that some encouragement and support, combine with perseverance and determination,
dreams can come true.
I am already excited for the future and the new challenges it will bring. I am really looking forward to tomorrow when Kim will join me here in Switzerland for what promises to be a wonderful adventure. We will spend a couple days here so she can see where I have spent the last 3 months. We will then travel to Venice and Rome before heading to Santorini, Greece for some R&R on the beach, followed by some more R&R on the island of Syros and finally flying into Athens for one last stop before heading home. I can't wait until tomorrow!!!
I am really proud of the journey I have been on and the courage I found to undertake such a challenge at my age. It is never too late to pursue your passions, your dreams and your goals. I will remind myself of this every day and be sure to take the time to appreciate them in the moment. These are the things that let us know we are alive and that we matter. I forgot this of myself somewhere along the way, and it took a pandemic for me to remember. Better late than never as they say.
This journey might have followed an untraditional route, but there is something to be said for experience, and I hope I was able to share some of my experiences and impart some wisdom with the those that shared this journey with me. I will never forget my time here and the memories I have made...Now I can't wait to make some more.
Switzerland solo journey is complete. Next up, Kim and Joe's great adventure.
Thank you for keeping up with my adventures, Stay tuned for more!!
